I have extensive background in supporting youth in finding their voice and gaining their confidence at home, school and social spaces through acquired DBT skills and coaching. I also work closely with parents and families in supporting them through conversations with their children and family. I work with the youth to build and hone many skills through active listening, compassion and connecting to them through my own life experiences. I help with social confidence, peer relations, adulting and gaining independence and help them improve communication and healthy relationship skills. I do this by familiarizing myself with both their home and social settings to help navigate and help them self-identify any areas where they often struggle or shut down. I utilize different tools and tap into my teaching background to help them build confidence and self-reliance.

I earned my Bachelor's degree in early childhood development and education from Colby College. I have gone through training, internship and employment at Riverside Community Care; Where I became more familiar with DBT style approaches to mental health, as well as using personal experience where it is fit to help offer youth more comfortable and relaxed environments for their development.

I strongly believe in creating a space and level of comfortability for youths and facilitate an easier bonding setting where they can feel supported and heard in their experiences, feelings, and ability to handle life’s challenges. By doing this, I build a sense of trust with my clients and allow them to grow and flourish in the areas they have previously struggled in.

I am a very active person in my free time and love to travel and try different challenges in order to keep growing. On the weekends I play pickup soccer and take hikes with my girlfriend and dog, Ghost! He is such a friendly pup and is eager to meet new friends!
